Director of Federal Relations
John has more than six years of experience on Capitol Hill, serving for Congressional Members on both authorizing and appropriations committees. He brings valuable experience with legislative processes and knowledge of issues important to Penn State and its research enterprise.
Most recently, John served as Senior Legislative Assistant for United States Representative Marcy Kaptur. As the Congresswoman’s lead staffer for appropriations work, John has worked with agriculture, defense, science and technology, and transportation appropriations. He also served as Legislative Director and Projects Director for United States Representative Paul Kanjorski. In these roles, he established the Congressman’s legislative agenda and was the lead adviser for all legislative issues.
A native of Bucks County, PA, John earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and obtained his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Penn State.
