Legislative Researcher

 

Anthony Stem joined the Penn State OGCR team as Legislative Researcher in August 2021. In this role, Anthony informs the team on current issues and provides data and statistics to the office. Previously, Anthony served as a Special Projects Intern for OGCR in Spring Semester 2019.

Anthony graduated from Penn State in December 2019 with a bachelor’s in Political Science from the Schreyer Honors College. At graduation, Anthony represented his class as Student Marshall for the College of the Liberal Arts. On campus, Anthony was a leader in the Penn State Blue Band and member of Penn State’s student government (UPUA). He also performed with various ensembles in the Penn State School of Music as part of the Penn State Horn Studio.

During college, Anthony participated in several internships to gain a better understanding of the public policy process. This consisted of three internships with Congress (District Office, D.C. Office, and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce), the White House National Economic Council, and John Deere Public Affairs. Anthony also interned for the York County District Attorney’s Office shortly after graduation.

A longtime resident of New Freedom, PA, Anthony currently resides in State College. He serves on the board of the State College Young Professionals (SCYP) as Membership Experience Director.
