State

We explain to state legislators the ways the University carries out its land-grant mission successfully while strengthening the state’s economy and improving the quality of life through research. Statewide initiatives such as Invent Penn State, which encourages entrepreneurship and breakthrough technology, help support the Commonwealth’s economy and fuel student success to produce productive graduates. Penn State Extension, an agricultural education network in conjunction with the College of Agricultural Sciences, gives businesses, individuals, and communities in Pennsylvania’s 67 counties access to the University’s expertise and resources to solve problems and develop skills.
